The fact is, these are probably not the biggest threat to your family’s health and security that occurs with a poor estate plan. The most common mistake people make in estate planning is assuming that any will solves their problems. Hire any old lawyer. Get an online form. If you have a will, all problems are solved. Right? Although failing to plan is no plan at all, most thoughtful people have visited an estate planning attorney at least once in their life to do a will. If not out of date, most of those wills are still very ineffective.
