Just what do we mean when we say you need to do your estate planning?  To some that means making sure that they have decreased taxes, decreased legal expenses, or attempted to avoid conflict.

Those are all part of the process and things to consider, so estate planning means different things to different people depending on what their problems are and what the solutions can be.  At Pyke & Associates, we don’t draft one particular type of estate plan.  Instead, we customize our services to our client’s situation and we can’t have a custom plan without a consultation.  Our firm mission is to eliminate the fear and unpredictability in the estate planning, probate, guardianship and Medicaid planning areas where we practice.  To many clients, the biggest fear is what it will cost.

Related to that is not knowing what issues they need to ask the attorney and what are the issues to solve.  We address those fears and issues in two fundamental ways.

First, we do not charge for consultations and the purpose of the consultation is for us to ask you the right questions to draw out the right information so that we can design your plan and tell you what the fixed fee will be for that plan.

Second, in the coming months, we will publish videos and blog posts to walk you through the fundamentals of estate planning so that when you enter your consultation, you know what to expect and help us find your best solutions.

Watch for future emails with our videos and posts,  and if you’re coming in in the middle of this, all of our posts are on our website under our Articles page, located here, so that you can read the wealth of information that we have made available to our clients.
